An audit starts with a defined sample
We agree the market, channels and scope before reviewing. The sample might cover key website pages, product screens, campaign materials, onboarding emails or support content. A cross-channel sample can reveal inconsistencies that are hard to spot when each asset is reviewed alone.
We distinguish findings in the reviewed material from assumptions about the rest of your content. If a wider investigation is needed, the report can identify which pages, workflows or content types deserve the next check.
What we look for
- Meaning and accuracy: omissions, mistranslations and ambiguity.
- Natural Portuguese: awkward constructions, unsuitable register and inconsistent forms of address.
- Market fit: Brazilian versus European Portuguese choices and cultural references.
- Consistency: terminology, product names and brand voice across channels.
- Content in context: truncation, line breaks, placeholders and copy that conflicts with the layout or visuals.
A report your team can act on
Agreed outputs can include screenshots or quoted examples, suggested corrections, explanations and a prioritised set of recommendations. We separate issues that change meaning or obstruct a task from improvements to fluency, voice and consistency.
Where the sample supports it, we also recommend terminology or style-guide updates and changes to the review workflow. The aim is to fix recurring causes as well as the examples in the report.
From review to QA rescue
You can commission the paid audit first and decide what you want us to implement afterwards. Follow-on work might include revising the reviewed copy, post-editing machine translation, building a glossary or checking the revised content in its final layout.
Our translation and MTPE work, transcreation and cultural consultancy can address different findings. We recommend the work that fits the problem.
Is this a technical software audit?
This is a language and cultural review, including content-related issues visible in the interface. It does not replace a security audit, full functional test programme or legal compliance review. We flag relevant concerns in the reviewed material and explain where a specialist or further testing is needed.
To scope an audit, send the URLs or files, the intended Portuguese market, your priorities and any deadline. Let us know whether you can provide a test account or screenshots for content behind a login.
