Two markets, deliberate language choices
Brazilian Portuguese and European Portuguese share a language, but your brief needs to identify the intended market. Vocabulary, forms of address, register and familiar references can change how a message lands. A translation that is clear in one market can still feel distant in the other.
We agree the target variety before translation begins. For a launch in both markets, we can work on separate versions and keep shared terminology aligned where it makes sense. The aim is consistency in your brand voice, with room for each audience.
Content we translate
- Websites and landing pages: service descriptions, navigation, calls to action and campaign pages.
- Apps and product interfaces: onboarding, settings, notifications and help content.
- Marketing and customer communications: emails, advertising, presentations and social content.
- AI-assisted content: post-editing with checks for meaning, terminology, tone and context.
How we work with your brief
Send the source content, target market, audience, deadline and any existing glossary or style guide. We clarify the purpose and voice, flag questions that need your input and agree what will be delivered.
Translation includes attention to meaning and natural expression. Where the brief includes review in the final layout, we also check line breaks, truncation, character limits and how the words relate to the interface or visuals. That stage is especially useful for product launches.
Where AI can help — and where judgement matters
Machine translation can support a high-volume workflow. It does not decide whether a joke works, whether a term fits your product, or whether the tone is right for the people reading it. Our AI-assisted translation and MTPE work keeps those decisions with experienced linguists.
We can review an existing machine translation or help you choose which content needs translation, post-editing or creative adaptation. If the source depends on wordplay or a campaign concept, Portuguese transcreation may be the better brief.
What should I send for a quote?
Send the editable files or URLs, an approximate word count if available, whether you need Brazilian Portuguese, European Portuguese or both, and your publication date. Tell us whether you also need independent review or a final check on the live site.
