Dishwashers are not common appliances in Brazilian households, but recently they have been gaining ground. The appliance is the consumption dream of people looking for convenience. In 2020, with more people spending most of their time at home, Google registered a 95% increase in searches for dishwashers in Brazil, and a 40% increase in sales, even amongst the economic crises aggravated by the pandemic.

The appliance’s price (selling from 200 USD to 1350 USD in Brazil), and the electricity consumption are still the main obstacles for new buyers, but new models, which promise energy efficiency and less water consumption, are willing to change this game.
